  • We then went to see The Sunken City, a San Pedro neighborhood that slipped into the sea ever so slowly in 1929. While it is illegal to enter the area, many do - we didn't. For photos, Google "San Pedro, Sunken City" and click on Images.
  • This is the first time the boys ever saw an ocean.
  • Then we went over to the Fort MacArthur Museum which includes Battery Osgood-Farley, constructed during World War II just in case enemy troops attacked from the ocean.
  • Looks like the next generation of America's defenders is getting inspired.
  • Working as a team
  • Of course, there has to be running to the top of the hill...
