Riverside Murder Memorial

Located on Orange St. between 9th and 10th, the Riverside Victims' Memorial Wall was created in 2009, and contains names of victims dating back as far as can be found in county records. Each year in April, during National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, additional names are engraved on the wall in remembrance of those who have lost their life because of crime. Now approaching 2,400 names.

  • Andrew Lamont Brown was convicted in 1992 in Riverside County Superior Court of the 1988 robbery and first degree murder of Christina Ann Barraza Ramirez during a carjacking.
  • 2015 - Indio - Angela Lavanty has been charged with murder, animal cruelty and driving while impaired in a crash that killed two Canadian men, including Ron Little, and two dogs riding in a golf cart in a residential area.

  • Five years later - January, 2021 - 55 names have been added.
  • 64-year-old Joan E. Terlisner was killed in a 3-car hit-and-run crash. The initial collision occurred and one of those vehicles slammed into her car.
