  • Victory Memorial Grove in Elysian Park.This 1921 Daughters of the American Revolution Memorial lists 21 casualties of World War I whom, it seems, were family members of DAR members in Southern California. Trust me, you will never see this Memorial. It is in L.A. in a VERY obscure place. OK, here's the location - 34.0744452,-118.2498227.

  • Purple Heart Memorial honoring all U.S. service members wounded or killed in action. Located at the Long Beach V.A. Hospital in the courtyard behind the cafeteria.

  • The tree next to this plaque at Hollywood High School was planted on Veterans Day, 1922 to remind us of those we lost in World War I. Whether this is the original tree or not, let it remind you.
