  • Yes, there are two eyes, but I like this one.
  • Anthony Quinn in his role of Zorba the Greek. But here, he is "The Pope of Broadway" at the rear of the lot at 258 W. 3rd Street. The Victor Clothing Company closed in 2001 after about 60 years in business. This 70-foot painting was completed by artist Eloy Torrez in 1985.
  • After watching his masterpiece age over a 30-year period, the artist completed a total Papal renovation - with an anti-graffiti coating - in January of 2017.
  • Irish-Mexican immigrant Anthony Quinn - full name Antonio Rudolfo Oaxaca Quinn - grew up in East L.A. He died in 2001. At least he was able to enjoy this for 16 years.
